Legendary basketball coach John Wooden, who lead the UCLA Bruins to 10 NCAA National Championships in a span of 12 years (at one time leading is team to an 88 game winning streak), died at the age of 99 this past Friday.  To the common basketball fan he is known only as one of the greatest basketball coach of all time. Those who knew and followed him, know that he was a much greater man.

Wooden was an astoundingly prodigious leader and educator, building his dynasty on a foundation of simplistic precepts. His book Pyramid of Success has been advocated for decades by leaders of every variety. Wooden was a steward of meticulous preparation, and preached the perfection of details.

Wooden was a true example of a life of service. A luminary leader who knew that leadership is not always rousing speeches from pulpits, but quiet whispers of guidance and support.

The other day my good friend sent me a message through Facebook asking….

“Aldo, what does it take to really succeed in building a business from home?”

I responded with this video and now I want to share it with you:

Now go back and view this video again, and pay close attention at minute 5:45 of the video. If you feel you “Can Do It” you are correct, if you feel that you “Can’t Do It” you are also correct.

The CRITICAL part to success is and will ALWAYS be “IN YOUR HEAD!”

Your own personal mindset, your personal development, your attitude toward yourself and other people is always going to lead as the determining factor to your success as an entrepreneur or anything in life.

Don’t be realistic and expand your mind – and you WILL expand your wealth.

How did online network marketers become so successful?

I used to ask myself this question all the time. I was serious about my new career when I decided to join this industry, so I took action. I decided to study all the online network marketers who were achieving great success. Entrepreneurs like Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, Franco Gonzalez, and Jonathan Budd just to name a few. I realized that they all have these 3 very important traits in common:

-    They offer value and constant training to their audience.
-    They learned the power of personal branding.
-    They are constantly educating themselves

If you pay close attention and study successful online network marketing, so called “gurus”, they always offer value. Every time they communicate to their audience they are giving free tips, leading people to valuable information and resources. Most of the content they share is educational or inspirational, and always very positive. They usually offer links to tools or free training videos. They are not spamming their opportunity or trying to make a sale quick from the people who follow them. They are sincere, honest and straight to the point with their content. People appreciate and resonate with that.

Successful online network marketers also learned how to brand their name and products at a very early stage. Personal branding is powerful and what I think is the most important element for success. This applies to every business, for example what do you think of when you hear this slogan “Just Do It” yeap, Nike. Leaders in network marketing do the same way with their names and faces. They make sure that they leave their name, picture, and link to their website on all of their content. Some even have a catchy slogan attached to it.

Successful online marketers are never satisfied, they always want more. And no I’m not talking about money, they always want more knowledge. They know online network marketing is changing on a monthly, weekly and even daily basis. They make a conscious effort to keep themselves ahead of the game. They are constantly educating themselves in this crazy industry. They are also masters of personal development; they want to improve themselves in every way possible to add more value to their lives. If you were to visit a so called “online guru”, you will see that they have a library of educational, inspirational, and spiritual books and videos.

Online network marketing success is not hard to achieve, and it is not very competitive if you really think about it. It only seems competitive, but most so called online entrepreneur quit within a few months, around 97% to be exact. As you can see the odds are in your favor, you are only competing with 3%. If you just stay consistent, offer value, learn how to brand your name, and continue educating yourself you will succeed. It might not come over night, but success will come.

One more thing, it is very important to always be yourself and original.

Success Plan

“You will Be as Successful as you PLAN to be!”

A Home Based Business is about much more than making money. You will be learning this throughout your training, and the experience you will have within your chosen program. It’s your time to shine. It is your time to transform your life, and the lives of those around you. It sounds like a big task, but once you have your plan down… you will quickly realize it’s quite simple to do and does not have to take a long time (unless you choose for it to).

You’ve gotten started here for one reason… to successfully transform your life. We have learned that planning and recording your schedules, daily actions, and mindset are perhaps the most important action steps you can do to ensure your success. You see, the first 90 days are going to be your most important, because this is the time you will be “tested” the most. For this reason we have devised a step by step process for YOU, so you can PLAN your SUCCESS. This will undoubtedly assist you in achieving your success, just as you have mapped it out. In order to complete this, you must be willing to dig deep, to find your clear purpose on WHY you are starting a home based business.

Before we go any further, please answer this very important question…

Have you made the decision to succeed?

* Yes! I have chosen the path to success.

* No. I’m too fearful of success to transform my life, and determined to stay in my comfort zone.

If you have answered “Yes” to my question above, congratulations! You have just taken your FIRST step toward transforming your life. Please continue through this excercise.

 

Your Dream Board

“If you are going to dream, Dream BIG!”

 

A Dream Board is the fundamental building block to creating your success plan. This is a very important exercise for you to complete before you begin your business. But it’s very important for you to understand the difference between dreams and goals.

Dreams are things that you wish for - things that you enjoy thinking about but don’t really know when or if they’ll happen. Goals, on the other hand, are specific things you have decided you will accomplish withing a clearly defined period of time.

For example, “Someday I wish to own a luxury resort” is a dream. “Within 2 years, I will have 1 million set aside to start building my 5 star resort in Cabo San Lucas.” You see, goals must be measureable, which allows you to know when you have achieved them.

Here’s another important point: Your goals come from your dreams. Inspiring dreams will give you energy to set inspiring goals, which, in turn, will help you to make the changes necessary to transform your life.

Now that you understand the difference, let’s start your dream board.

To complete this exercise, just tap into your imagination and write down any words or phrases that come to mind when you thing about being successful. Even better, draw or cut out images on what it will fee like and look like for YOU to be successful.

HINT: Magazines or the Internet are great places to find the images you are seeking.

 

* What and who are you grateful for? (It starts with an attitude of gratitude!)

* What will you feel like?

* What will you look like?

* What will you have?

* Where will you be living?

* What will you be driving? (if that’s important to you)

* Where have you traveled?

* Who will you be becoming?

* Who will you be sharing life with?

The more you can connect on an emotional level to what you are writing and selecting for images… the more vivid this will become, and the more effective it will be for you.

Relax. Let loose and start dreaming! This is an extrmemely uplifting exercise and most of us have never done it… thanks to the conditioning and the programming we go through in today’s society… so most of us have to dig deep to figure out what we truly want out of this experience called – LIFE.

Once you have tapped into this creative energy, get a large poster board and start designing your destiny. Even better yet, think ahead and purchase a large cork board; that way when you successfully achieve your current visions, you can remove the pictures and tabs and replace them with new ones.

Obviously, when you are finished with your creation, you should hang it in your workstation because it will be your daily motivation and inspiration.

 

Planning Your Journey

“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.”

Now that you have completed your Dream Board, you now have an idea of what you want in your life. It’s now time to develop your game plan that will get you there.

Developing Your Goals - By clearly stating you goals, identifying reasons why those goals are important to you, and by writing down three old, “unauthorized” patterns of action and three new, effective ones… you’re clearly starting out on your “Journey To Destiny.”

Your next exercise is to compose sentences stating what you wish to accomplish and set a deadline that you will be transforming your wishes into goals. Once you clarify your goals, be sure to read them forst thing in the morning and again at night.

In your “Success Journal” (you do have one, right?), Please write down 5 things that you will achieve over the course of your next 90 days. Simple.. like this:

Reasons – Let’s take it a little deeper. Your next exercise is to identify your reasons for achieving your 90 day goals. What we’ve discovered is that the more clear your goals are, about WHY these goals are important to you, the more likely you will succeed. It’s not complicated to identify the reasons for making the changes to improve your finances and your future. There are countless reasons, so write down the ones that have meaning to you.

Again, in your “Success Jounal”, please write down 3 reasons why you have decided to achieve your 90 day goals.

Transforming Patterns Of Action - To complete this exercise, just identify three habits you have now, which you’ll need to transform in order for you to move forward and become successful.

For example, if you’re a procrastinator, you will write down a “to do” list everyday. If you are used to being told what to do, you will have to transform that habit to being more self reliant by learning the daily activities to do and then holding yourself accountable.

Let’s get back to our “Success Journals”, and write down 3 patterns of action you need to transform in order to successfully achieve your 90 day goals.

The next thing we recommend you do is:

Create this list on a document on your computer and print it out… then post it where you can see it everyday. It will serve as a contant reminder to you of where you are headed.
